Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Position Description:

Sales & Marketing Coordinator’s primary responsibility is the daily coordination of the Sales & Marketing operations. S&M coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the department achieves highest levels of service delivery through effective communication and follow up/ Critical aspects of the role are communicating incoming calls from companies to the sales members designated to each segment, receiving and dispatching proposal requests/tasks to all key contacts; ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the department. The S&M coordinator works closely with the reservations department & the banqueting department and under supervision of the Director of Sales and Marketing, and within the limits of the established Riviera Hotel Policies and Procedures. Main responsibility for supporting the DOSM and sales team with the coordination of all activities to deliver and maximize revenues.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

Reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

-Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
-Follows Hotel’s telephone etiquette standards
-Generate various operational & analytical reports for the coordinator of the S&M department
-Assisting walk in clients’ tour of the house
-Preparing contracts and general office duties
-Coordinating projects, reports and plans
-Preparing of reviews and responses for sales, advertising and marketing opportunities
-Assisting with significant account marketing relationships
-Ensuring a timely and efficient response to general inquiries received on the telephone and by email
-Other Duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:
-Computer literacy with knowledge of MS Office programs, Outlook and Property Manager System-OPERA
-Strong clerical skills with a demonstrated eye for detail
-Self-starter, strong initiative, ambitious, internally motivated
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
-A passion for Guest Service and a desire to be a part of a driven team
-Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
-Team player with strong initiative
-Previous Sales experience is an asset
-Previous experience in a Sales Office is an asset
-Hospitality/Hotel Administration Post Secondary degree or diploma is an asset

-Constant standing and walking throughout shift
-Frequent Sitting
-Computer use

Sales Executive

-2 years experience is a must

-Familiar with Opera system

Sales Manager

-2 years experience is a must
